Liposculpture was developed in France in the late 1980s and has evolved into a component of many lipo procedures.
The method is frequently integrated with other conventional lipo procedures to bring out a more youthful contour to the features of the face and body.

Popular Uses
Liposculpture is often used as a finishing touch to liposuction of the mons pubis, the axillary fat beyond the breast margins, and to enhance muscle definition of the chest, abdomen and arms. The technique encompasses both low volume lipo and fat injections.
Facial liposculpture is used to enhance the jawline, chin, cheek, and jowls, to restore volume around the eyes and to soften aging lines at the nasolabial folds and at the angles of the mouth. Treatments can be combined with or used instead of temporary fillers like Juvederm and Restylane.
A unique application of liposculpture technique is the enhancement of male and female genital anatomy. In women, labia majora fat injections restore volume without the risk of reactions to artificial materials.

Out of Town PatientsMany lipo surgery patients at LVR-NJ travel considerable distances for our expertise in this procedure. We facilitate this process by providing the option of same-day consultation/same-day surgery. This is arranged in advance and by request at the time that you contact our office. Pre-operative bloodwork testing will need to be performed in advance through a local physician or lab near your home. Drs. Pelosi will review your situation to determine if this is an appropriate option. If you fly, or if your drive home is more than 2 hours, we recommend that you stay in the area overnight after your surgery so that Drs. Pelosi can evaluate you for proper healing on the day after surgery; afterwards, you may travel home. In certain situations, we can provide you with an overnight stay the night before your surgery if you are arriving late in the day. Click here for general travel info.
