Form and function are intimately associated in the fastest growing branch of cosmetic surgery. Vaginal aesthetics is about the restoration of vaginal dimensions to an earlier, more youthful state. If you believe that tighter is better, then you might want to explore the nuances of the options listed below. Keep in mind that a thorough clinical examination forms an essential part of your decision making process and professional guidance is critical to making an informed decision about the best treatment for your needs.
Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation (LVR)
This is the best known vaginal tightening procedure. It follows a strict stepwise protocol of laser dissection and precise suture placement with excellent and consistent results. It is usually performed in conjunction with laser perineorrhaphy. The combo is known as laser colpo-perineorrhaphy.
Essentially, the repair of a thinned out perineum (skin and external muscles between the vagina and the anus). Perineorrhaphy protects and strengthens your vaginal rejuvenation from loosening over time. It can be performed alone or in conjunction with laser vaginal rejuvenation.
FemiLift Non-Surgical Laser Vaginal Tightening LVT (NEW)
Also known as laser vaginal resurfacing, FemiLift is a quick and painless 10-minute vaginal laser treatment that improves vaginal laxity, improves menopausal vaginal dryness, and reduces urinary leakage. Three treatments spaced 4 weeks apart are recommended. The procedure is painless and requires no downtime. Read more HERE>
Out of Town Patients
Many patients at LVR-NJ travel considerable distances for our expertise in these procedures. We facilitate this process by providing the option of same-day consultation/same-day surgery. This is arranged in advance and by request at the time that you contact our office. Pre-operative bloodwork testing will need to be performed in advance through a local physician or lab near your home. Drs. Pelosi will review your situation to determine if this is an appropriate option. If you fly, or if your drive home is more than 2 hours, we recommend that you stay in the area overnight after your surgery so that Drs. Pelosi can evaluate you for proper healing on the day after surgery; afterwards, you may travel home. In certain situations, we can provide you with an overnight stay the night before your surgery if you are arriving late in the day.
