Labia Minora Anatomy
The labia minora extend from the clitoris anteriorly to the fourchette posteriorly. The anterior aspect of the labium minus splits to form the clitoral hood (or prepuce) and the frenulum at the undersurface of the clitoral head.
The inner aspect of the labia minora is partially covered with the same textured skin that covers its outer (lateral aspect). Near the inner aspect of the base, the skin is smooth. The border between textured skin and smooth skin is called Hart's line (red dashed lines). The central area between Hart's lines is known as the vestibule.
